Easter 2025 Prayer Guide

Day 1 – Monday (April 14)

Passage: Matthew 21:12–17

Theme: A House of Prayer

Prayer Points:

  • Invite Jesus to cleanse anything in your life that distracts from worship.

  • Pray for your church to be a place of prayer, gospel proclamation, and welcoming to people who need Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

  • Confess where spiritual apathy or routine has crept in.

Day 2 – Tuesday (April 15)

Passage: Matthew 22:34–40

Theme: Love First

Prayer Points:

  • Thank God for His love that initiates and transforms.

  • Ask the Spirit to help you love God with your whole heart today.

  • Confess where selfishness or bitterness has dulled your love.

Day 3 – Wednesday (April 16)

Passage: Matthew 26:6–13

Theme: Extravagant Devotion

Prayer Points:

  • Reflect on Jesus’ worthiness of your full devotion.

  • Ask God to grow your desire to give generously of your time, talents, and resources.

  • Invite the Spirit to show you what full-hearted worship looks like this week.

 

Day 4 – Maundy Thursday (April 17)

Passage: John 13:1–17

Theme: Humble Service

Prayer Points:

  • Thank Jesus for serving you even when you fall short.

  • Confess pride or entitlement that keeps you from stooping low.

  • Pray for opportunities to serve in tangible, quiet ways today.

Day 5 – Good Friday (April 18)

Passage: Isaiah 53:1–6

Theme: The Suffering Savior

Prayer Points:

  • Meditate on the weight of Christ’s suffering for your sin.

  • Thank Jesus for bearing your guilt and shame.

  • Confess sins that nailed Him to the cross—and receive grace.

Day 6 – Silent Saturday (April 19)

Passage: Lamentations 3:21–26

Theme: Waiting in Hope

Prayer Points:

  • Acknowledge the silence or waiting seasons in your life before God.

  • Thank Him that His mercies are new every morning—even in the dark.

  • Ask for faith to trust God when you can’t see what He’s doing.

Day 7 – Easter Sunday (April 20)

Passage: Luke 24:1–12

Theme: Risen and Reigning

Prayer Points:

  • Rejoice that Jesus is alive - death is defeated!

  • Praise Him for the hope and victory you have in Christ.

  • Ask God to fill you with resurrection joy and boldness.
