5 Different Goals to Try for 2023

What is your number one goal that you want to accomplish for 2023? The typical goals people set revolve around eating better, losing weight, and for Christians wishing to read their Bible more. Those are ALL good goals! What if, this year, you try something different for your goals?

Here are five goals to set that will make a big difference in your life for 2023:

1. Meet with a Christian Counselor to discuss what is happening in your life. Sitting down with someone and talking about your life and having them speak biblical truth into yours can significantly impact your mental health.

2. Pray for your server when you eat at a restaurant. I love doing this when I go out to eat. After we order, I will say to the person taking my order, “We are about to pray for our food when it comes; can we pray for you?” NEVER has someone been rude to me when I asked them if I could pray for them!

3. Set a goal to invite someone to church once a week. I know this sounds hard, but it is effortless when you develop the habit of doing it.

4. Invite someone into your home for a meal at least once a month. This could be a friend, neighbor, church member, or co-worker. One thing I love about Jesus is He hung out with people. When you read the Gospel of Luke, Jesus is often on his way to a party, at a party, or leaving a party. Jesus modeled the importance of being with people.

5. Read for 20 minutes a day. This goal changed my reading habits last year in a big way. I am a slow reader compared to my wife. Sandra can read a book in a day or two easily. But if you read for at least 20 minutes a day, you will be surprised by the number of books you can read by the end of the year.

Which goals are you seeking to set in 2023?
