Gospel of Luke Christmas Reading Plan

The Gospel of Luke records the life of Jesus from birth to death to His resurrection in twenty-four chapters. As we start the month of December, if you read one chapter a day in December, you will finish the whole story of the life of Jesus by Christmas Day.

Who was Luke? Church history teaches us that Luke was a physician and a close friend to the Apostle Paul. Luke wrote the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts. This would make Luke the only Gentile author in the Bible.

Luke writes his gospel to reveal Jesus Christ and all he began to do and teach until He was taken to heaven (Acts 1:1-2). Luke gives us a very detailed account of the life of Jesus. Luke emphasizes the ministry of Jesus to the Gentiles, Samaritans, women, children, tax collectors, sinners, and those considered outcasts in the minds of the religious leaders of Israel.

This December, take the Gospel of Luke reading chapter by reading one chapter a day and ending on December 24th!
